Enhanced Access Clinics
The GP Surgeries in the Forest of Dean all take part in our Extended Access Scheme. Extended Access clinics provide extra appointments for patients in the Forest of Dean. There are a range of professionals offering appointments. These include GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and a Dietitian.
These include telephone appointments on weekday evenings and face-to-face appointments on Saturday mornings. These appointments may not be at your own surgery, but will be within the Forest of Dean. Please note that ongoing medical problems are best followed up by your own surgery for continuity of care.
Evening and Saturday appointments are routine appointments. If you require medical assistant during the weekend please visit 111 online. Pharmacists can give you advice on a range of conditions and suggest medicines that can help.
